The Bungalows offer an unconventional sojourn

Its exceptional design let guests be immersed in the environment and the purity of nature, providing unusual experiences and an opportunity to promote environmental consciousness. For your stay, you will be able to choose between one of the 25 seafront Bungalows or the 32 bungalows amongst the treetops, each one under the name of a Colombian island. Each bungalow was built under the existing natural setting and vegetation, so that the location of the trees determined the spot of the accommodations, involving the nature in each of them.

In fact, on the roads that guide to the different facilities, we have placed warning signs, since certain branches of our trees are located on the way and it’s not an option to cut them down.

Besides the extend and comfort, each bungalow has complimentary wireless internet, minibar, hammocks, TV, air conditioner, washlet toilets, Hermès bathroom amenities, and 2 bicycles, proving that sustainability and luxury can come together.

Naturally ideal environments

We can’t leave behind other attractions to the enjoyment of guests, which offer a pleasant atmosphere at all time, thanks to the fact that they were carefully designed with eco-sustainable materials.

Other facilities as the Club House, the Barú meeting room, the Solarium, the hammock sala, three restaurants, three bars, a cafeteria, spa, gym and a handicraft shop are available throughout the property.

Sustainable welfare measures

At Hotel Las Islas the environment and the resident species wellness is a priority, therefore, besides the sustainable architecture, we have adopted measures to preserve fauna and flora. For this reason, hotel counts on specialized cameras with motion sensors throughout the complex, they record displacements and actual conditions of the local fauna along with its growth and other important data such as the feeding and hydration spots we have made for them.

In that way, we have recorded different species such as raccoons, margays, foxes, anteaters and diverse birdlife.

Due to the importance of the conservation and contribution of the different ecosystems, we have created a plantation of at least 11000 native trees, a coral sowing and special cages at the seabed in order to protect the reefs around the hotel. For water treatment we count on a desalination plant and a purifying machine for the harnessing of sea water. In addition, we carry out a wastewater treatment that involves an additional filter process through hatches that allow the liquid to return by dripping to the earth.

This refuge immersed in the Colombian’s Caribbean coast, stands out for the regular use of low environmental impact methods, offering an architectonic environment that flows amidst nature.
